About this course

Our Crisis and Trauma (CP 777) course focuses on counseling approaches that effectively address crises and trauma. We explore the impact of trauma and crisis and potential neurobiological responses, the development of skills and techniques for assessment and intervention in specific crisis or trauma situations including suicide assessment and intervention.

Additionally, this course is designed to meet a licensure requirement for students enrolled in master’s programs in mental health counseling or rehabilitation counseling.
