American Sign Language

Level 2*

This course will focus on the natural acquisition of American Sign Language (ASL). ASL is a visual-gestural language of diverse and complex grammatical structure. Vocabulary is taken from your textbook, videos and signs introduced by your instructor and taught in the immersion process with heavy dependency on visual aids. Aspects of Deaf Culture will be incorporated into class lecture, activities, and online discussions as appropriate to the content.
