RENEWAL/STRENGTH: FROZEN GROUND FEAR

Internationaler Waldkunstpfad 2004

consists of six signposts on the Forest Path in front of the United States Military base in Darmstadt, Germany and three signs placed on my family's land facing the US Military Base Fort Sill, Lawton, Oklahoma. In Darmstadt, the signs along the boarder of the US Military complex refer to political leaders and structural systems. The three signs on the opposite side of the forest path facing the US Military base refer to the people, culture, and countries that are targeted for political gain. RENEWAL/STRENGTH Frozen Ground Fear represents the many boarders we cross or donŐt cross, the implied space, actual space, division, control, assimilation, intimidation, interrogation that comes with the territory of crossing a boarder.
