Module #12: Physical Activity for All

In this module you will explore the field of adapted fitness. Adpated Fitness is a field which helps people with disabilties who are interested in personal training, stress management, weight management and those individuals who want to learn about and establishing a healthier lifestyle. In addition to health and fitness some individuals work on improving activities of daily living and as a result become more independent from both physical and personal assistance.

Learning Objectives

Students will show that they know this information by successfully passing exam #1
  • Examine the definition, content, goals, research themes of Physical Activity for All
  • Explore your personal characteristics and experiences in Physical Activity for All and examine their impact on your desire and/or ability to participate in the goals of the discipline
  • Apply your understanding of current trends and societal contexts to future trends and contributions of Physical Activity for All?
  • Students will demonstrate their ability to apply their knowledge through an application assignment

Assignments

 

Be sure you have read all the assigned material and reviewed the web resources for module before starting the assignment. Students are strongly encouraged to use all supplemental readings, web sites, and learning activities. Once you have completed the assignment, please submit to the designated drop box in Learn@UW. This assignment is due Monday July 6th
